Pilates Continuing Education at Studio Lotus
As a Power Pilates Affiliate Training Center, Studio Lotus believes that learning to teach Pilates is an ongoing process; certification is but the first step.
Once Power Pilates certified, all instructors are required to complete continuing education courses through Power Pilates each year. These courses allow instructors to review principles and exercises learned during certification, explore specialized topics more deeply, and – most important – to keep the integrity of their teaching, as well as the method, alive.
During continuing education, our instructors expand their knowledge of the technique, refine and refresh their teaching skills, and work with some of the most senior and experienced Pilates teachers in the industry. Certification is where one learns the foundation of the exercises; continuing education is where that foundation is augmented and strengthened.
In addition to continuing education workshops for Pilates instructors, Studio Lotus offers several courses each year geared towards the Intermediate and Advanced client. Attending a workshop alongside instructors is a great way for clients to advance their knowledge of Pilates and take their own workouts to the next level.
Power Pilates has developed the most extensive Pilates continuing education curriculum in the industry. Workshops, held all over the world, are an opportunity for Power Pilates to share their greatest resource – the vast knowledge and experience of their senior level team. As long as one meets the prerequisites of the continuing education courses offered, we welcome all certified Pilates instructors and clients from various organizations.
